Yes to both questions. This build is great, though if you have an extra $50 get a gtx 970. But with an r9 290, r9 290x, gtx 970, or gtx 980, you're going to get 60fps consistently at high to ultra settings in just about every game. Maybe not Crysis 3, but you'll be very close. Seriously though if you can spring for a gtx 970 get it. I'm assuming that you'll be playing at 1080p based on this build.
