Eh I don't intend on OC'ing it since I'm not familiar with it. I'm looking for a mid-range build. I just want an upgrade from the fx6300 since that chip takes a big hit when I play CPU heavy games. It's hard for me to stream. My current build is fx6300 a sapphire 7950, both at stock. I'm looking to upgrade to at least an i5 2500k with a sapphire 280x.
That video card upgrade is not worth it unless you can get a really good price for you 7950. FYI, a 7950 is the identical card (sometimes with slightly different clocks) to the R9 280, which is a slightly cut-down r9 280X (=7970). That 7950/280 is still a pretty decent card for 1080p gaming.
If you're not going to overclock then don't look at the more expensive "K" processors. You can get an i5-4460 for about $50 cheaper than a 4690K.
Alternatively, if it fits your budget, the Xeon e3-1231 is a really fantastic processor for streaming. It's basically an i7 (quad core + hyperthreading - the latter helps your streaming) but it's priced only a little higher than a 4690K.
I do agree with others though that the 2500k is still a very solid processor, particularly if you can get a motherboard for it on the cheap. But if you have to a go a new Mobo and won't be overclocking anyways, I'd suggest you either go a cheaper Haswell i5, or spend up on the Xeon.
