Hi
My Sony Vaio VPCZ135GG notebook came installed with Windows 7 Pro and a Nvidia Geforce GT 330M graphics card. I did a clean install of Windows 8.1 Pro and it now does not pick up the Nvidia graphics card. In the device manager there is a yellow exclamation on the Microsoft Basic Display Adaptor.
Please help as I have tried most recommended solutions on the Net.

I have tried all the options on this page and even tried sending a request for support message to Sony, but you get the following message. Sorry! The page you are looking for could have been binned.

Ok so i managed to get my concern to Sony and below is the response they gave me:

"Kindly be informed that your unit (VPCZ135GG) is not compatible with windows 8, hence we request you to go back to windows 7 Professional 64-bit which is the default OS system"

Talk about being backward and inefficient

Sony Vaio has a very bad practice regarding drivers. They block manufactures from updating the hardware used in their laptops. The only drivers that work on Sony Vaio are the ones downloaded from their own website.
You might try a workaround by using Windows driver update from the Device Manager and downloaded INF files.
I don't know of a way to circumvent the Vaio firmware protection so that any drivers can be installed.
Hope it helps.
