Afternoon,
hoping someone can help i am upgrading my on-board graphics card to a dedicated graphics its a sapphire HD5450 (Im on a budget).
I disable Integrated card through device manager and bios plug new card in attach the monitor via VGA port go to switch machine on but no display at all to my monitor not even a flicker.
As i connect my monitor to the gpu it say not connected im at a loss as to what to do next can only use my computer again once i take the card out and reconnect monitor to motherboard.
I have tried everything i can find: Bought another HD5450 XFX... Re-seating the RAM....Changing the BIOS order for the graphics card....installing drivers for card beforehand and also uninstalling any old drivers for any graphics card that was possibly previously installed using guru.. i even hooked up my t.v with hdmi port and that said no signal too
I have updated all drivers for the computer using driver pack solution i genuinely don't know what to do next.
Could it just be that my motherboard is too old?
My specs are:
