Why Do I still lag in Games like DayZ with these specs?

I've noticed that I'm not getting very good performance while playing games like DayZ, if anyone knows DayZ, they know how intensive it can performance wise, I'm just curious because even if I was to upgrade I wouldn't know what id upgrade to, as I feel majority of these parts would be able to handle DayZ fairly well. As for FPS goes I get an average of 30 FPS outside of Towns in the game and in and around towns it averages at around 10. If you have any ideas to why you might think I'm getting such low performance please let me know, and if my parts are just not very good then please tell me what I need to get better. Thanks in advance.

My Computer Specs:
• Intel® Core™ i7-3770K @3.9 (Turbo) Processor
• Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 OC Version GPU
• Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Motherboard
• Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 x2 RAM
• Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler
• Western Digital 1 TB Hard drive
• 600w Power Supply (some no name brand)

your parts are some of the best around these days but change the psu if you want to keep your pc going for a year and what did you expect from dayz it is still in alpha or beta if im correct and still hasn't been optimized to make great use of hardware yet meaning the fps is gonna stay around the same intill they release a update for better optimization

Thanks for the reply, ya I will be updated my psu for sure, and as far as DayZ goes I understand that it is horribly optimized atm due to it being in alpha, my only concern is that ive seen people achieve a solid 30fps in towns which is intensive Frames wise. im able to hit upwards 30fps outside of towns but when I enter in and around i drop to an average of 10 - 15. was just curious on what I could update to achieve the same frames as these other people I've seen.

well i dont really know other than a gpu but i wouldn't waste money for just one game dude not worth it, most people that played dayz with a decent fps had the highest gpus available like the 780 ti 970 and 980 never have i seen anybody with something lower but still not worth upgrading for one game that probably isn't even gonna get fixed

Many times it is not your computer, but the code of the software you are running. Take MechWarrior Online, many complain of getting glitched lag when a player lands after jumping for a decent distance. Even I notice it, and it is not me or my computer, its just that one glitchy section of the game code. Your specs are fine, get an 850PSU and you are good.
