Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (4 x 2GB) DDR3-1333 Memory
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card

Solution

G.Skill is great. It is on top with other companies like Corsair. Also, I own G,Skill too and love it. Never problems. But if I was buying RAM today I'd get at least 1600MHz CL9 or better.

Looks fine (i5 pairs better with a 970, i7 for 980 and SLI/Crossfire solutions), but do you already have the RAM leftover from an old machine? That's not a very good set, and 8 GB is probably going to be below recommended requirements in the near future.

Also I suggest a SSD for your operating system and swap file.

Agree with an SSD, but not with i7 for a 980. http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2363050/4790k-gtx-970-4690k-gtx-980.html

Can you guys check and tell me if its all compatible and any changes are welcomed, some one else said that i7 and 970 dont go togather well? and isnt 970 a good enough gpu i thought it was the best right now since 980 cost $400 more for barely any more performence

you mean the MSI Z97 GAMING 3 ATX MOBO - LGA 1150 socket, Intel Z97 Express Chipset, 2x PCIe x16, USB 3.0, VGA, HDMI, DVI, DirectX, Crossfire Ready - Z97-GAMING 3?

ill keep that in mind but do you have any other close to that good but around 100$?

ASRock and Asus make some decent Z97 mobo for around $100.
