The AMD Ramdisk web page states that the freeware version (and presumably the paid versions as well) lets you use an extra 2 GB of your ram for a total of 6 GB as part of the ramdisk if you are using AMD Radeon ram, now is this true or is this just AMD trying to trick unaware consumers into buying their ram rather then from someone else?

Solution
May or may be true, but it does suck up that amount of RAM.

But I had a 4GB RAMDisk for a while, dedicated to Lightroom scratch space. I noticed zero performance difference.
SO I shut it off.
