Hello!

I'm having problems with with hibernate and sleep automatic functions: it goes asleep and never wakes up again. I got so angry after trying to fix it through changing configurations that I went back to the Power Options and just shut both things down... just to find out that when I actively put it in sleep mode (Windows -> Sleep) it works OK. Heck.

I've the following rig:
*Corsair AX860 PSU
*ASUS Z87-PRO
*Intel i7-4770k
*XFX 280X
*32gb DDR3 RAM (G.Skill Ripjaws)
*Crucial M500 250 GB (103 GB partition for Windows 7 Ultimate 64bits)

I did changed a lot of things in Power Options before quitting and putting both Sleep and Hibernate off... but I don't like it since it's such a waste of energy (and thus, money, 'cos energy is freaking expensive in Brazil right now).

Any ideas of what might be the problem?

Thanks!

Sleep was an issue with all of the early Asus Z87 boards. The most reported one was with external drives not waking up from sleep. I remember holding off on buying the M6F and waiting for C2 stepping for specifically that reason. I escaped that but did get nailed by the BIOS Clock Freeze bug.

However, that doesn't seem to be the case as you didn't list an external. Here's some links that I remembered from those days on other sleep related issues.... including ones that won't stay asleep (reminds me of my kids when they were young) and won't wake up (reminds me of my kids now). Many times it's PSU related, but your PSU is haswell ready.
