Hello! I am finally about to finish my first build (and actually build it)! However, I'm having trouble deciding on the motherboard, power supply unit, and storage. I originally built around a EVGA 850W G2 power supply, the MAXIMUS VII Formula motherboard, and a Seagate 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Hybrid Internal Hard Drive. Looking over them, I was beggining to think the power supply might be overkill, and the motherboard seems a bit overpriced. Here's the rest of the build:
Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
G.Skill Trident X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory
MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card
Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case
LG WH14NS40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer
Also, keep in mind that I plan on doing a good amount of overclocking. I also plan on dropping another GPU in there further down the road and running SLI. Also,I might upgrade to a more high end GPU at some point. I don't want to cut any real corners here, because I still want it to be a reliable PC. I don't mind spending extra on the Motherboard, Power Supply, and storage if the components are really worth their price. Any help here is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
