Hey guys, I'm wondering what some of the best ram is for video editing.
I'd want it to be DDR3 and I'm looking to buy 32GB of ram.
I want it mainly for editing, but I'd also like it if the ram was good for gaming as well.
Price isn't an issue so feel free to suggest anything, thanks! :)

Here is what I found:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231618 - This one is fairly fast, and barely faster than the next one, but still just a bit faster.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231629 - This one is the least fast, but only by an extremely small difference, also this one is my personal favorite of the three.

To know which Ram is fastest, simply divide the CAS Latency by the frequency, and this will give you the time it will take to execute a command (more or less). So with this formula - the...

To know which Ram is fastest, simply divide the CAS Latency by the frequency, and this will give you the time it will take to execute a command (more or less). So with this formula - the first option is the fastest and the last one is the "slowest", though between the three the difference is negligible.

No one can really provide a reasonable response with out kning the mobo and CPU, it's fine to say this or that, but would be nice to know the capabilities of your hardware. A budget would also help as there are much faster than above if your harware and budget can take it, though the Tri's are great choices if your hardware and budget fit, I run Tri's in both my Haswell's (in sig)
