Hello Forum members of Tom's Hardware I am building a PC and I was just about done when I ran into the problem that I don't have the proper cable to plug into the CPU power it is a 4 pin and I was wondering if I can get a connector to get that power here are my components.

Power Supply: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/psus/2008/02/19/corsair_tx750w_psu_cmpsu-750tx/2

Adapter: http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-LP4P4ADAP-Auxiliary-Power-Adapter/dp/B00066IO2O/ref=pd_bxgy_147_img_y

If this adapter won't work please recommend one Thank you :D

I'm sorry but I don't completely know what that means by 8 pin I'm assuming you mean the 6 Pin you use to power graphics cards plus the 2 pin it comes with to convert it to 8? Do I just take two of the 2 pins and plug them in?

The 8-pin cpu connector will split in 2 since it's a 4+4 connector and then just plug one of the 4 pins into the motherboard. Page 3 of the link you posted for the psu shows it split in half, its in the same pic as the 6+2 pin pci-e power connectors.
