I have Zorin 64 and ould like to know if there are drivers for a Brother MPC-L2700DW laser printer.
I have been on the Brother site and tried to download the ones they had there but kept receiving a message that they were bad (missing some part). Used the software center in Zorin but this did not come up with anything usable. Are there drivers for this printer?

Solution
It is not the problem with Zorin per se, but with Zorin 64. The drivers provided on Brother' webside contain i386 .deb's only, and they won't work on 64-bit Linux.

You might try to add i386 as an architecture to your Linux install, with "dpkg --add-architecture i386", and trying Brother' drivers again.

I also looked at Open Suse and Fedora as alternatives and read that Suse has a great deal of software that can be downloaded for it including drivers. I believe this distro is well enough known that it would have the support I needed for my printer.
