PC won't work when i connect the grahphic card to pcie cable

Ok this is driving me craZy please help, i finally assembled my first gaming pc with all it's parts gathered except for the graphic card, i then got the sapphire vapor x r9 280 x wich has two 8 pin cable to connect from on side and a male 6 pin connectors on the other side, the thing is that my power supply didn't have the pcie cables in it for some reason (thermaltake smart se 730watt) so i had to buy two pcie cable to connect the power supply to the graphic card, but now everytime I connect the pcie (6+2 pin on graphic card side and 6 pin on powersupply side) the pc stops working, i keep pressing the power button but nothing happens, i even tried connecting it while the pc is on and it directly turned off.
I really need a professional help because good parts are really hard to find here and i need to know exactly what I'm looking for, is it the powersupply or the pcie cables (which btw there are 2 of them and even if only connect one the computers won't work)

but firstly your psu should have came with 4 pci-e cables

where did you buy the 2 pci-e cables?

they need to be the ones for that psu--just because they fit doesnt mean the pin outs are the same

I'm almost sure it's not the cables, i tried several ones, also the vga worked on another pc,

the power still works when the pcie cable is disconnected from the powersupply

It also works when it's connected to the powersupply but disconnected from the vga,

so basically all parts work separately but not when joined together which is really driving me crazy

You say you are connecting 6 pin at psu to 6+2 at card... Apart from where you got a 6 to 8 cable, my bet is the 6 pin psu socket doesn't have the power to drive an 8 pin socket. Insufficient power = blackout

You've not said where you bought the cables ??
This has already been asked once - they need to be from thermal take direct , they need to be the exact cables for that exact PSU model !!

As stated you should definitely have two 8 pin to 6+2 PCI express power cables with your PSU.
