cannot detect graphics card, steam games won't launch

Recently had to do a system wipe and re installed windows and everything. After I wiped and re installed windows however, none of my games from origin or steam would launch and I found out its because the computer can't detect the graphics card. it only comes up as standard VGA adapter in device manager. i downloaded Speccy to see if that would pick up the graphics card so i could get the proper drivers for it or something, but it still only recognized it as the standard VGA adapter. any idea how to fix this?

  1. Install your motherbd's chipset drivers then install your graphics card drivers. You're going to need to know what you have inside the box unfortunately.
  2. You need to install the video drivers. that means you need to identify what video card you have. intel, nvida, ati, then download video drivers from that company.
