PC randomly reboots after being shut off hours beforehand

So this a problem has been occurring since I first built my PC a few months ago and it's a weird one: my computer boots up regularly, runs with little to no kinks, and shuts down regularly as expected. There's just one problem, however: in a random span of time after I shut down my PC (I don't know exactly how long, but it's usually at least a few hours), my computer turns itself on unprovoked. It's particularly confusing to me as I've read about people having problems with their computers immediately rebooting after turning off, while my computer boots itself up after a longer span of time. Suffice to say, I'd like to make it so that when I turn off my computer, it remains off. Any suggestions or solutions are welcome. Thanks!

OK... then the only thing that pops in my mind is... there is something installed that has the authority to "wake" your computer.

Try going to the Device Manager and looking up the following devices you have:
Keyboard
Mouse
Network Card

Go to the properties and select POWER MANAGEMENT Tab and UNCHECK option to allow device to wake up the computer. I know that works when it comes out of sleep.. but not entirely sure if you issue full shutdown routine... but it won't hurt to try.

I would also try going into BIOS. I recall seeing some option in mine that gave permission for something to wake up or start up or something... I never bothered to really pay much attention since it didn't really affect me.. but your BIOS would be the next...

Quick question... when you turn off your computer... are you SHUTTING IT DOWN... or are you putting it to sleep or using Hibernate? Knowing that would help make troubleshooting easier and I know how to resolve computers awaking up from sleep...

I actually turn off my computer using the "Shut down" command. The computer is completely turned off (nothing in the computer is running), but then a few hours later it randomly boots itself up. Hope this helps.

Have you tried performing an exorcism on your motherboard? It is possible that the tiny horned demons in the circuits are acting up. They are known to do that. If the exorcism fails, I would recommend using silver to ward them off.

It's my understand that silver only works on werewolves...
