Solid state are generally faster, low capacity, and more expensive than HDD. Solid states use flash memory for quick read and writes. HDD are generally much slower, bigger capacity (up to 8 tb), and less expensive than ssds. HDD are mechanical meaning it's accesses memory by physically moving parts. Hope this helps!
