Only in the WORST optimized games, that statement is so misleading its absurd, I3 is BELOW the minimum requirements for ALOT of new titles coming out, you know what, the 9590 is not, but its worse!!!??.

I do NOT like the 9590, the 8350 is where you want to go, find a decent 990 board for overclocking, cause that will help you push the chip and get you closer to an I7 (you won't beat an I7). AMD really positioned the FX-8350 against the I5, like 2 years ago, so yeah....

Still a good chip and it can do a lot of things very very well, and for the money, one of the best bang for your bucks.

Not really a reality statement though, the 9590 is a lot more powerful than an I3.

and its no slouch in gaming, but I still prefer the 8350, its just a better deal

I do not wish to turn this guys thread into an Intel vs AMD war, but the Haswell i3s are 25-30% stronger in single core performance than the FX9590 and will outperform it in anything that utilizes 4 cores or less. Sure the 9590 will spank it when 6-8 cores are fully used, but how often is that? Most games still only use 4, and older games only use 2.

I actually think the FX8320 is the best bang for buck of the 8 core FXs.
