Yeah but it said installing updates, do not shut down or reboot, is it safe anyway? Hard drive was making almost no noises so it wasnt writing or reading for sure, sorry just a bit paranoid, first time this happened

I started the windows 10 download at 11pm 8/5/15 and at 9am 8/6/15 it was still loading to my surprise. I looked for a solution on my Lenovo Z580 laptop and looked for a solution at this web site. Someone suggested to try a restart because he thought that Windows 10 was stuck in a loop. I tried the reboot and clicked on the update nothing changed and encountered the same situation as before.
I decided to check my Windows Update and discovered that the file was waiting to be downloaded . I clicked on the file and it immediately started to download and solved my problem. The install was completed at 10:30 am on 8/6/15 on my Acer AX3910 Desktop.
I encountered a second problem with my Lenovo Z580 a few days ago when I successfully loaded Window 10. I decided to change my administrator account to a standard account during this process I decided to add another family member to log into my lap top. In short something went wrong with the new password and after rebooting I tried using the new password and could not Start Windows 10.
I tried different solutions but to no avail. So I reverted my Z580 Lenovo laptop to the factory operating system Windows 8. I installed all my Windows Updates. Now I need to upgrade to Windows 8.1. Instead of waiting for the Windows Update file I downloaded the 8.1 file from the Play Store which installed correctly. Then I started looking for my Windows 10 reserve file and I discovered that the had failed to install on four downloads. I decided to look for a solution on YouTube and discovered a vide on how to install Windows 10 three different ways. I chose to download a tool from the Microsoft web site and make a d v d disk using a I s o file download with complete instructions from the video. It installed Windows 10 correctly and the disk can be used on any qualified pc or tablet . You can also make a u s b flash drive version.
Conclusion : If you decide not to wait for your Widows Update File you can download Windows 10 from the d v d disk or u s b file you have made immediately.
Good Luck.
