Which is better between these two cards?

One is older but is a 256-bit

This one is newer but only 128-bit.

I currently owned the r7 240 GDDR5. I checked the minimum requirements of GTA V and it says the 4870 is the minimum card. I wonder if my card can handle it since I'm not planning on buying a new one. Just asking. Thanks!

My bad I didn't check the bandwidths... 4870 is a better card.

GTA V gives even good cards a run for their money. Your gpu looks like it's very similar but slightly better than the 4870.
You should be able to run the game on all low settings, and it will still probably look better than a ps4...

EDIT: Looks like I was wrong, the 4870 is a better card.

The 4870 is probably more powerful, the r7 240 is a really weak card.

That said, you can play it on the r7 240 if you keep the settings low and the resolution at 720p.

4870 > 240. I don't really recommend buying card and less than a 250x since the performance per dollar is very bad for very low end cards like 240.
