Hello everyone! I need your help! I want to build my FIRST pc. It will be used for video editing and gaming. Money limit is 2500 $ USD. I want it to be as silent as possible and air cooled. (Also if possible i wish it to be in orange/black or orange/white coloring - this is NOT mandatory!)
Any suggestions please? :)

Solution
I've had an Orange/Black build saved in a text document that I made a while ago and I thought I'd post it here. I don't know if all of these parts are available in your country, but they are my suggestions. I built a Red/Black version of this for a friend and it is dead silent regardless of load. Hope I help.

Yes. I'm not sure if i7 4790K or i7 5820K would be better for gaming and video editing.

Also not sure if 16 GB RAM is enough or should i need more (i know 16 GB is enough for gaming, but i want it to be future proof when it comes for video editing).

I'm not sure about voltage of PSU i need. There are different opinions on that as well. Some say take more W with lower efficiency, some say less W with higher efficiency.

When it comes to cooling, i'm not sure if i should stick with stock cooler or aftermarket? I will not overclock, but i heard stock coolers are not good enough for i7 4790K and i7 5820K?

For gaming part - i only use 1 monitor, 2 when i do my video editing.

Online stores in my country have no orange components whatsoever, and i know internet is massive and i'm ready to order online, so if anyone knows this much detail it would be greatly appreciated! But this is not so important.

Any questions i can answer to help you to help me i will gladly answer! :)

Both processors would work. for video editing # of cores is more important than single core speed (even though single core speed does matter) So I think the i7 5820k would be better (this is the 6-core correct?). You will want 32gb for video editing for sure. stock cooler sucks you're right, if you are getting the "k" version for processor it is because you want to overclock it, so go with liquid cooling.

Let's go with option 1.

Yeah, titan IS a monster and i'm not gonna go with it. So you suggest getting R9 290x over GTX 980/970?

Regarding CPU - i'm not sure if this is just in my country but they don't sell i7 5820 (only 5820K), and when it comes to i7 4790 - stock is 3,5 ghz and i7 4790K - stock iz 4,0 ghz. Which one would be better for option 1? Or you have some third CPU on your mind?

RAM - OK, i go with 32 GB option - some recommend ripjaws - is there better option?

Let's assume i go with water cooling - i'm not that comfortable with water so close to my components. I suppose there are liquids that are not harmfull if it comes to trouble? Is water cooling really more silent than air cooling?

What about PSU and case? Any thoughts?

I am sorry but I was thinking on engineering CAD rendering on my initial post because that's what I have experience with. please read my edit. You don't need a workstation video card, but a powerful CPU and a lot of ram.
liquid cooling is completely safe, and they have really good warranty in case they leak (uncommon). it is much more quiet than air cooling. As for processor I'd recommend the i7 - 5930k, although the 5820k is a great option too. I think they only come with k version you're right. the 5930k won't make a difference compared to 4790 on gaming, but it will be much more powerful when video editing because of the 6 cores.

You will be good to go with either GTX 980/970 or R9 290X. I think the GTX980 is more powerful, but the R9 290x is a great video card, and usually cheaper than 980. so it is up to you. As for the case I don't know anything orange. Maybe the NZXT phantom?. I personally like thermaltake cases, they are quiet and very nice.

PSU you might be looking at about 800 Watt (get platinum or gold energy performance, not less)

Liquid cooling is not completely safe. They are well built to last, but there have been MANY many MANY cases where it has leaked and destroyed everything. This is why I am moving to air soon.

May I ask if you will use the GPU as a way to use it like CUDA/OpenCL?

More quiet? No. In order to be quieter, you need to reduce the amount of monving parts. Water cooler has 3, air cooler has.

Better performance? Not really, they are maybe 2-3c differences between both.

Custom LEds/colors ehh. I can give you that one, but really this is the op's decision.

Read my edit. It isn't more quiet, I looked up the dB levels and the air cooler is much more quiet. Performance though, water cooling will be better. It is simply heat transfer, the thermal conductivity of water is higher than air. Our bodies feel heat transfer not absolute temperature, go outside on a 60 degree weather and feel the "air", go inside a 60 degree water lake and feel the "water". The water cooled plate will transfer much more heat than the air cooler. it is thermodynamics.

water conducts heat more than twenty times as well as air. And this probably uses a refrigerant with even higher thermal conductivity than water.

Also, water cooler will only be loud when overclocking, or when the processor really overheats just because the fans in the radiator have much more capacity (look it up). So the fan will never reach that performance. Yes it will be louder when you are editing video, but your processor will perform much better. And it will be really quiet when gaming or idle, probably same or more than fan cooler.

Bossyfins - no, i won't use GPU like that. Btw tnx for link :)

entropy4money - i've read it, tnx :)

Regarding cooling option - i'm gonna think about it, there are pros and cons for both. :)

Any case that is especialy silent?

But many air coolers, like the Noctua D15 actually beat the h100i and some others AIOs. Its true water moves heat better, but it also includes a multitude of other things like the rad surface/fins etc. It is up to the op now that he has heard both sides of air and water cooling.

True there are many variables, and liquid cooling could do much better than it does if manufacturers would put more effort into other aspects of it. All the fins on the air coolers can make huge differences. I am not sure if the Noctua D15 beats the h100i, but there are probably some air coolers out there that beat some water coolers and vice versa. Overall I think liquid cooling is better. You should read reviews about them and figure out what suits you best.

You should read this article:
http://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/heres-why-you-should-liquid-cool-your-cpu/

it actually explains why water coolers are a better choice, and argues that they are indeed more quiet. It mentions the performance of the Noctua as well, and how noisy it has to get to perform well.

You will still get much more out of the 6 core processor for video editing if you are willing to spend that much money.

Sure i am! But with i-5820K or higher i will need new other motherboard (know any orange-blackish?) and DDR4 RAM. I read DDR4 is somewhat buggy?

I personally think that the i7 is enough for video editing, but if you want, I put together one with the X99 board. It will be louder because there are very limited silent cases that can fit EATX, but it will still be relatively quiet. Keep in mind a lot of reviews say that this motherboard has BIOS problems so I would still just go with the first build.

Thanks man :)
Mobo problems is what worries me in this build too. Better safe than sorry. I'm gonna keep searching for orange-black mobo without so much bad reputation. If you see another one, please share :)
