windows 8.1 activation issue on new computer

Hello all,
I had a pc which I installed windows 8.1 retail version. now I have a new pc which I installed the same windows,although I can't activate it since I can't use the key on both pc's. So I deactivated the key from the previous installation but when trying to activate it on the new one I still get the massage that it is being used on another pc.

How can I solve this?

Contrary to popular belief, that 'deactivation' actually does nothing besides tell that particular machine that it is not activated. It does not phone home to the MS Activation servers and release that key for use elsewhere.
There is no functionality for that.

That's what I think too LOL. I guess I reasonably thought that it updates that information through the internet..make sense doesn't it?
Anyway..gonna call MS customer service tomorrow.
