I recently bought all the parts to my computer on new egg which are as follows.
CPU- AMD FX 8350 Vischera black edition
PSU- EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified
GPU- EVGA GTX 960 4GB
MOBO- MSI 970 Gaming
Case- Spec 01 Red
RAM- G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB (2x4GB)
Hard Drive- 1TB Western Digital Blue Caviar

This is my first build and made sure all things connected properly and fit properly. The computer not only starts up but I have also set it up with Windows 7 Home Premium successfully. There are a few issues that are still occurring. I have tried several times to change the coloring of the monitor, computer and everything else but it seems to not want to show the color red. No matter how much blue and green I reduce, the red will not show up on my monitor. I have tested the monitor on my other computer and the display seems to be working perfectly fine with no issues. The port from the back of the computer is a DVI but came with a DVI to VGA adapter. I am using the VGA adapter at the moment and made sure it was secure within the computer and the monitor alike.
Another issue that is occurring is that the graphics card (GTX 960) is not showing up within the BIOS screen. The BIOS is stating that the graphics card does not exist within the system. I have checked several times to see that the GPU is in fact in the 1st GPU slot and has all wires connected. I attempted running benchmarks on my computer but was unable to because the graphics card wasn't read. It is currently using the integrated graphics within the CPU. Help Me Please! Thanks! :)

I am currently using the VGA adapter that came with the GPU. The drivers should all be up to date, but there is a chance they are not. Where would I get the proper drivers to download for this graphics card? if it came with the CD I have updated the drivers but will attempt again later tonight. Thanks for the quick replies and responses guys! I really want my first build to be up and running properly soon. With all this support it should be in no time :)

So I just found out something extremely disturbing... My friend wanted to put windows 7 on his SSD Drive instead of his Hard Drive for faster booting. He used the same windows CD I used to put on his SSD and nearly the same thing occurred. His screen did happen to have red in it though. But when he went to Rate his computer it turned out his 'Graphics Card' and 'Graphics' was a rating of 1 just like mine happened to be earlier. This leads me to believe that there may be an issue with the windows copy possibly..? It also did not allow us to put our monitors to 1080p although the monitors fully supported 1080p. Would all of these issues occur with an outdated driver? or maybe a bad version of windows? I am extremely confused as to what is occurring right now. Please Help!

This versin isn't pirated, although it is fairly old. We had an old Windows 7 installer disc around so that is what we used. Would this fix be as simple as installing a better driver? And if so what driver needs to be downloaded?

Well that would be nice, I have used the VGA cable on my previous computer and the color looks perfectly fine on that computer. Then again I am not using the DVI to VGA Adapter which could very well be the issue. I will attempt this when I get back from school.

So it turns out it wasn't actually a broken cable or adapter. The graphics card DVI slot wasn't working properly, every chord I used wouldn't take the colours right. But it is alright now because I have an HDMI to DVI adapter that is working perfectly. Should I still get the graphics card replaced with a new one though?

Alright, thank you very much for the help guys! I really appreciate it! Even if this monitor does break down or something I am definitely getting an HDMI compatible monitor for sure.
