Just wondering, is 6gb memory for graphics card enough to max out all games? i running 8gb ram and i5 4690k will this set up max out the witcher 3? just wondering

Solution

For playing with full graphical fidelity @1440p get the TITAN X 12GB or even the upcoming GTX 980 Ti 6GB 384-bit memory interface, which is literally a half-titan that will be released in early July 2015. Full graphical fidelity no compromises @1080 get GTX 980 4GB.

Cheers!

First of all-----Amount of Memory Doesn't matter at all..............
If Your Planning to Play witcher 3 You should better get a GTX 660 with 2GB
GTX 660 will not be able to max all games.......
Your better off with a GTX970 if it is in your budget.......

By the way.... 4GB is enough for 4k
6GB is overkill

i don't think so. If you want to max the witcher 3 then get a gtx 980 or a titan-x. gtx 980 will max it on 1080p 60fps(for sure) , titan-x will max it on 1440p 60fps( probably). so your best bet is the 980.

4GB is NOT enough for 4K in NEW games what are you talking about??? "Next-Gen" multiplatform games need about 3GB if not more just to run maxed out at 1080p60fps.

If you're buying a new GPU right now and want to max out all incoming games in the near future while keeping a 60fps frame rate, you will need 4GB if not more since PS4 and X1 have about 5GB of memory dedicated to games (expect rushed ports that don't make good use of your whole PC and just fill up your whole VRAM pool)

To OP, 6GB will make your PC very future proof. However, not sure how much that Titan costs, but you would probably be better off just getting a GTX 980 4GB. That will run Witcher 3, Batman Arkham Knight, Assassin's Creed Unity, etc. and all upcoming games BEAUTIFULLY (in 1080p and probably 1440p 60fps that is).

Then it probably is an excellent deal indeed! However, which Titan is it? The original Titan from (I believe) 2013? or Titan Black? or maybe another? (not sure how many Titans with 6GB there is out there).

I think the GTX 980 is about 20% faster than the original Titan - i Believe the GTX 970 is also slightly faster as well (2-5%). Depending on how much you paid for it, you might want to consider returning it and getting a gtx 970/980 (assuming it is the original Titan).
