Primary gaming build under $1100 w/ i7-4790k&msi gtx970 please.

Hello all thank you in advance for your wisdom and advice. It has been about 13 years since I built a pc, and now I find myself back in the that dreaded place of horrible fps! I want to build and over all pc wit the ability to expand a bit over the next few years. I would like to play star citizen when it is released, along with being able to play bf4 and elite dangerous, and other games... Also a decent multimedia system (running multiple windows and playing videos).

My ideal build basics are:
1.i7-4790k
2.MSI gtx 970 gaming card
3. From here on out everything else is quite shady to me...
4.MOBo,
5.psu,
6.case,
7.cooling(liquid vs air..even stock cooler if I'm not planning on oc for a while)
8.storage I am not really concerned about, a one tb wd blue will suffice.
Please feel free to fire away with suggestions!!!
Obviously the lower the cost the better. But I can not go over $1100
:) thank you very much for the help folks!

no games can use more than 4 cores and none are projected to any time soon. unless you are doing video editing no need for the extra hyper-threading the i7 offers. the i5 is the gaming flagship. by the time games are "needing" more than 4 cores there will be a new socket and you can either build new or upgrade from i5 to i7 at that time but no game developers are projected to make any 5+ core games yet
