So I had a stock heatsink on my new FX-8320. I have had this on for about a year now. It is NOT overclocked at all. I was curious about my temps and downloaded CPUID HWmonitor.
At Idle I was seeing 67oc!
When gaming for about 2 hours I was seeing 81oc!
Then I found out I should be below 62oc.
SOOO I bought a aftermarket heatsink

These are the results:
Idle: 59oc
Gaming: 71oc

I bought THIS heatsink:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186092

I know its not the best but it was claiming 38oc at full load.
Im not a noob to building/fixing computers.
I installed the thermal paste properly and the one that came with it.

What do you suggest?
I have 1-120mm fan
and 2 80mm fans

Other Specs:
Corsair 750 watt PSU
8 GB DDR3
Gigabyte mobo
1 7200 RPM HDD
1 SSD
Nvidia GTX 560 ti (which also gets to about 90oc at full load...)

1.Check your motherboard completely for all features. Most MOBO's now a days have auto overclock feature so diable that if you have any small switch in MOBO.
2.Disable parking of CPU .Use parkcontrol and select and apply the high performance to disable CPU unwanted parking.Desktop PC's never need CPU parking bcoz they will use full power anyhow.
3.Go to BIOS and reset all values and restart.
4.Unless your PC restarts while gaming at high temp's no need to worry bcoz AMD provides the worst CPU coolers which does not provides good cooling .Mine goes to 98 degress above and I have AMD phenom II x4 970 BE with stock cooler.
5.If all the above problems persist then try getting a good Noctua cooler or corsair single radiator water cooler .Most AMD users get a cooler as soon as they buy an AMD CPU.
