As the title says, I can't format or delete files on my McroSD (64 BG Transcend) that I used in my Xperia Z3.

I've tried:

1. Moving the lock switch (hehe)
2. Diskpart attribute clearing
3. Regedit (there was no key so i made one)
3. HP format tool (no access)
4. SD formatter (no access)
5. Low Level Format Tool (shows that formatting was done, but when I pun the card back in all files are intact).

When I delete/move files it shows 'progress' (i.e. no error message), but when I re-insert the card back all files are as they used to be.

Any ideas (besides trash can for now)?

Thank you in advance.

Hello stahlhammar:

If you haven't already done so, I suggest you go to Transcend's support page and download their online recovery file:

http://dk.transcend-info.com/Support/No-697

(Don't worry about the country selection being Denmark - once you're there, you can change it if needed.)

I had a similar problem with my 32 GB Flash USB stick - and I went through all the same steps as you. The download process isn't entirely intuitive and you may have to repeat installation a few times. Also, the interface is very basic, but I'm sure that it will work, as it did for me.

Best of luck,
GreyCatz.
You've already tried all the methods I normally suggest so it's definitely faulty.
Not worth messing with any further, and you obviously don't need the data that's on it.
Even if you somehow magically got it functioning properly you could never trust it so what's the point?

I used the tool.
Selected the full format. It continued for about an hour. Then I got the message "Format successful, please re-insert card"
Re-inserted, all files still intact..

Same problem here with a Kingston 16GB pen drive. But even worse: After using the pen drive in my laptop together with a Lexar 128GB microSD card, which was working flawlessly, I have the same issue now on the card, not being able to delete the files on there.
