Hey all, having some troubles that I can't quite figure out.

As I am the guy who knows what an HDMI cord is, I was put in charge of running our offices small network.

We recently upgraded our router to an Asus RT-AC87U from an older Linksys router.

We use a Network hard-drive as a "server" of sorts. There are two hard drives in a RAID-1 config, in a D-Link DNS 323 network hard drive enclosure. All of the computers that are connceted are windows machines. (4 windows XP, 3 Windows 7) with the exception of mine, which is a Mac.

After working out all the kinks, and getting everyone on the same page as far as the network was concerned, I have run into a snag.

All the files on the network hard drive are visible, but cannot be opened. Specifically MS Word documents cannot be opened directly from the network location.

If a user copies the file from the network hard drive to their desktop, the file will then open.

It should also be noted that on my laptop. I can open the files from the server with no issues.

Prior to changing out the router, we had no issues though things were quite slow. (reason for attempting an upgrade)

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
