New RAM not working, PC rebooting after installation

I have just bought 2 RAM modules (These) and installed them. When the PC started it booted, but while it was loading Windows it rebooted, then I got this error http://imgur.com/0MX9PKJ and same thing when I entered BIOS.

I've tried changing profiles in the XMP menu but none of it worked. I saved BIOS changes, but after rebooting, and before loading Windows, it rebooted again. Then the error appeared again, and in BIOS all the changes I did before were restored to default.

I have tried clearing CMOS and didn't worked, same happens.

I'm thinking that maybe my mobo isn't compatible with the memory, here are the specs of the PC:

Intel i5 650 CPU
Motherboard http://es.gigabyte.com/products/page/mb/ga-h55m-d2h_13/overview/
Old RAM is http://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/KVR13N9S6_2.pdf
New RAM http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-17000cl11d-8gbxl

I'll apreciate any help.

Do you use onboard iGPU or a discrete GPU?
If you use the onboard iGPU, the maximum memory speed supported is 1666 MHz only, which is from the gigabyte site " Memoria #6" http://es.gigabyte.com/products/page/mb/ga-h55m-d2h_13/specs/
If you use the discrete GPU then you can use your new RAM. Your RAM is the 2133mhz, see the Memoria #5 in the same linker.

I have an AMD R9 280, so I suppose it's an iGPU. Then the max frequency I can use with this motherboard it's 1666 MHz, am I right? In that case, why can't I select the 1666 MHz frequency in BIOS? I don't even have that option, only 1600/2000/2133.

Thanks for answering.

BIOS seems to be up to date.

Turn off the XMP option in bios and this will run your new ram at it's native 1600. It will automatically default to the 2133 of which is specified by the memory. See if this doesn't fix your problem. The 650's were finicky with the high speed ram like that.

????????????

The system will boot to it's default for the DRAM, which is prob 1066 as it's an 1156 mobo, NOT 1600. The RJ X sticks are made with high density 4Gb memory chips which aren't compatible with most 1156 mobos as they were designed and made for the then current DDR3 which was using low density (2Gb chips)

I did, it runs at 1600MHz, but again when loading Windows it reboots with the typical ''Your PC ran into a problem and had to shut down''

If I use the old RAM Windows loads without problems, so it's not the OS's fault.

As i said before it will default to the ram's default/native speed as EvolveCT9A has confirmed, of which is 1600. It's xmp speed is 2133. It sounds like the problem you are having is that your board is not compatible with the ram. Most of the 1156 procs require low density to run correctly. One of my older computers has a 750 and I had the same problem. I didn't make sure it was low density ram and bought memory without making sure it was on the compatibility list and it would not work. Check the return policy and return it for exchange on a set that is listed on the compatibility list. I am betting that it is not on the list. http://

I just checked your compatibility list and the memory is NOT listed. You will have to return the memory or buy different memory. The only ones that is listed as compatible is Kingston KHX2133C8D3T1K2/4GX and the KHX2133C9D3T1K2/4GX. Those seem to be your only options for memory on that board. You may be able to get others to work but will be taking a risk hoping that they will. Here's the link to your compatibility list. http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-h55m-d2h.pdf

For some reason it will not let me post the link so here's the address to the compatibility list. http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-h55m-d2h.pdf. You will see it on the first page.

I bought the RAM from a friend so I can return it easily, anyway I am planning to change CPU and motherboard in a couple of months son I think I'll keep it, it's a good memory after all.

I saw the list but I thought it was old and that the RAM would work anyway, my bad.

I suppose modern motherboards won't have any problems with this RAM, is there anything I should look in the mobo specs before buying a new one?

Thanks for the help.
