I am wanting to build a Gaming/Game Dev computer for under $1000. I already have a monitor. I want to use the Intel Xeon 1231 v3. I need an OS. I want windows 8. So everything that i need is everything except the monitor for under $1000. I am in the US. I will just use the stock fan that comes with the cpu. I want atleast 8gb of ram I can just upgrade later. I also want a WIFI card. I will not be connecting by ethernet. 1 TB HDD and atleast 60Gb ssd. Also a Case. So after tax needs to be under $1000. I will be more than happy to answer any Q's Also need a cd drive

I really apologize for this guys but I just remembered I think I need a sound card. I have a recording studio that i am going to hook up to my comp but I am also going to hook up comp speakers. just a standard sound card is fine unless I do not need one

Audio on current motherboards is a lot better than it was 5 years ago. You shouldn't need a sound card too.

The ASsus mobo has

"Realtek® ALC887 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC featuring Crystal Sound 2*4
- Supports : Jack-detection, Front Panel Jack-retasking
Audio Feature :
- Audio Shielding: Ensures precision analog/digital separation and greatly reduced multi-lateral interference
- Dedicated audio PCB layers: Separate layers for left and right channels to guard the quality of the sensitive audio signals
- Audio amplifier: Provides the highest-quality sound for headphone and speakers
- Premium Japanese-made audio capacitors: Provide warm, natural and immersive sound with exceptional clarity and fidelity
- Unique de-pop circuit: Reduces start-up popping noise to audio outputs"

The ASRock mobo has
"- 7.1 CH HD Audio with Content Protection (Realtek ALC892 Audio Codec)
- Premium Blu-ray Audio support
- Supports Surge Protection (ASRock Full Spike Protection)
- ELNA Audio Caps"

You wouldn't notice the difference.
