Hello I am about to learn autocad 3d designing this summer which made me wonder if my GTX 750 ti would be able to handle this application. I've read about nvidias quadro gpus and how they are specifically designed for autocad but are priced very high. Will i be able to get similar performance without lag on my gtx 750 when compared to quadro k620(the only quadro i can afford right now).1) Is the performance gap evident?
Also, i do game a lot which leads to my second question :2) Are those quadros able to handle high end gaming?

My rig - i5 4590, Corsair vengeance 8gb , 500W CX corsair psu, MSI H97 gaming 3 mobo, 1 TB wd caviar black, GTX 750 ti 2gb GDDR5.

3) Should i upgrade my system?

Please answer all my 3 questions, thank you!

Solution
Similar performance? No.
Quadros are not gaming GPU's.

Quadros are specially tuned for things like Autocad 3D. They can handle extremely complex designs with ease. However, they do not do well in games.

GTX cards are generally excellent in games. But when you hit something like Autocad 3D, they will get the job done, and as long as you are not designing some massive skyscraper, they probably will suffice for you.

But there is a reason why the companies that use programs like Autocad 3D spend the money for Workstations with Quadro cards in them.
