Hello,

I need help to see if this rig would work well. It is generally use for games and work.

motherboard - Asus MAXIMUS VII GENE
cpu - Intel i7-4770
gpu - MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G

I need recommendations for suitable/good ram, psu.

GENE is an OC motherboard, and expensive one, but your processor is locked. If you already have those, that's fine but if you plan to buy them, I'm sure there are better options for you.

I can recommend plenty. Depends on your budget and other parts you need. It would be simpler to build the whole PC at once knowing budget and requirements (what work besides gaming, do you need to buy monitor or OS, do you want to play with overclocking etc)

Well, I am actually helping a friend. I think he will use it mostly for gaming. Not sure about work wise though, but probably isn't too heavy on the PC.
The parts were chosen by him and I just thought it would be good to run by here and ask some experts.

I made a mistake above, the cpu he wanted is i7-4790.
There isn't a need for a monitor and OS, he won't be doing any overclocking either.

I am not really sure budget wise, we are getting from this site http://www.mynextcomonline.com/
it is all in Sing dollars. A rough guess would be around 2000-2500SGD.

Oh thank you, will be tweaking things like ssd and hdd since he want them bigger but otherwise it seem pretty good.
I will run by him when I get the chance, thanks.
