ASUS Z97-A ATX board with 4K monitor

Hi ,

I have this board and I am planning to buy a samsung 4K monitor but I'm afraid the built-in gc doesn't TRUELY output 4K quality ...Has anyone tried this board on 4K monitor ?

The board does not have any integrated Graphics. The ports you see on the motherbd extend the CPU's build in graphics card out to the rear I/O so which cpu you get makes a difference.

As far as I know, all Intel HD graphics supports 4k @ 24hz. Some may be capable of higher refresh rates but you can look that up while you are deciding on the processor.

Thanks..I think I'm gonna buy external one ...do you recommend any above average GC that goes with this board and for sure support 4K at high reso.
