NEW PC build for mate. Need some opinions

He won't overclock, lets get that out of the road.

And he isn't to bothered about ULTRA high settings. Just want's to play games and good res and good FPS.

seeing he isnt bothered about ultra you could go from a 970 to a 960 which will still do pretty much every game same settings 60fps as the 970 with some AA tweaks and he can use the money he saved from the 970 to add a ssd it will be very worth it but still its a very good build

If it's only going to be used for gaming then I would get an i3 rather than the 8350, it will perform better.

If he does a lot of multitasking/ rendering then the amd is good.

+1 for the ssd
