Is there any way to remove an update from you're computer before it's installed?

It is likely it is being downloaded every day so you have to stop windows update downloading it again
If you run windows update manually you will get a list of updates available and can disable the update you want to stop
It might be useful to find out what this update is for and how to fix its failed install

This is windows defender based which is not needed if you have a good internet security program
