budget gaming ram mobo cpu gpu 300€ or ps3

Hello everyone.I dont know much of building a pc so i was thinking of buying a used ps3 at around 100 130 €.At the same time my pc is getting really old and my father will invest 150 -180 for a new mobo cpu and ram 4gb(if the 4gb ram we got is ddr2)So should i buy a ps3 or invest the 100-130€ for a gpu .To sum up which is better?a budget gaming cpu gpu mobo and ram at 300-320 € or a ps3 used. I want to play games like assassin's creed and csgo. I have no preference in amd or intel an dmy screed is 19 inches with resolution 1440×900 will this cause a problem to such level of gaming?Thanks for your time and help.

this thing kicks ass of consoles.. ps3 plays everything at 720 at 30fps at med(locked) settings .. this pc combo plays 720p 60fps ultra.. 1080p is also mostly playable.. u cant believe the flexibiity u have with ur pc..
