Moving Windows 8.1 from HDD to SSD

I built my first PC back in March. At the time, I only had a HDD, so that's where I installed Windows 8.1.

I ordered a SSD, and it's supposed to arrive today. I would like to put my OS on it.

What's the best way to go about doing this?

Any help will be appreciated.

That you cannot do.
There is only one application I am aware of that purports to move 'only' the OS. And success is very spotty.
Paragon Migrate - Not free

So...305GB won't fit into a 240GB drive. Reduce your space to below 200GB, and use one of the above mentioned tools to do it.

Or...clean install of the OS on the new drive.

But trying to move 'just the OS' is a road filled with fail.
