I accidentally changed my external 1tb WD my passport ultra to a 32gb recovery E drive. How can a change it back to 1tb? It is on a Windows 8 64-bit operating system.
Do you need the data stored on the drive?
In case you don't need the data stored on the drive, you can just go to Disk Management -> delete the partition -> partition and format the drive.
In case you need the data though, you will need to use some partition recovery tool. Just keep in mind that you shouldn't overwrite the data stored on the drive. There are quite a lot of threads on thins in the forum. Check this one: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/262280-32-partition-recovery
control panel > System and Security > Administrative tools > Computer Management > Storage > Disk Management > Right click on one of the storage value bar thingy next to the disk desired > format... > set to ntfs
