Hi Folks,
My new build crashed after running for about 5 days.
I was running ASUS AISUITE3 using the 5 way optimization tool for OC.
The last msg displayed by the utility indicated the level of test would be 4.6 GHZ.
Then the system crashed resulting in a BSOD (i.e. a black screen of death….not blue Screen). There was a profusion of text on the screen that disappeared before I could make any sense out of it. I was monitoring both CPU temp as well as core temps and tand the CPU sensor displayed 49 deg. C while the core temps began running in the lower 70s just before crash. Upon restarting the system would only display the following:

ASUS in search of INCREDIBLE!

Please press DEL or F2 to enter UEFI BIOS setting

Then the optical disk led blinks twice..
After the above occurs, Nada. No system action whatsoever. No response to Keyboard/mouse. Attempted to start the computer a few times just to see what Q code sequence would occur & whether the sequence is repetitive. The Q Code sequence ends with following four codes & was replicated each time the start button was pushed.:
…….97 64 97 64 A2
It looks like there was an attempt to poke the CPU which was unresponsive.
So any information/advise you could convey would be appreciated.

Clearing the CMOS will return the BIOS to default settings. Using software to overclock often results in voltages that are way too high. I would recommend not using the 5 way optimization tool for OC. See if you can find someone overclocking that motherboard on the internet using manual BIOS settings and try their settings.
