Not enough connectors from PSU

Hey forum.

I've decided to upgrade my GPU today but I found out after the purchase that this GPU requires 2 6-pin PCIe connections while at the moment I only have one 6+2pin PCIe connection. I do however have 4 unused cables coming from my PSU: 2x 4pin peripheral power cable and 2x SATA power cable. Is there any way to utilise these cables via some sort of adapter so I can end up with another 6 (or 6+2) pin connection? I need a 2nd 6 (or 6+2) pin connection or my GPU won't work (GTX 970).
Maybe some kind of cable splitter or maybe even opening up my PSU to somehow connect another cable to it?

I'm sorry if I come off as a total idiot here, I don't know much about the subject.

Thanks.

Best Regards,
Jaap.

That is an extremely poor quality generic power supply. You should seriously consider replacing it with a better unit. With a psu like that every time you run the system you are rolling the dice on if it blows up or not. And when cheap psus blow they have the ability fry everything attached to them. Depending on the rest of the system specs a decent 550w psu should be enough for a single 970.

Thank you all so much for the suggestions and yes I am in holland ;)
So it will take some days for me to get the new PSU while I can pick up a molex to 6 pin adapter in an hour or 2. I'm of course really eager to use my new GPU, so will it be safe to use one of these adapters with my old (and shifty) PSU? Or is it better to just leave the new GPU out 'till I've got my new PSU?

What do you mean blowup? Isn't the PSU either gonna make the GPU work or that the GPU doesn't turn on at all? Do PSU's have the capability to fry everything connected to them?

Low quality PSUs tend to skimp on the protection circuits and have voltage regulation and ripple issues that can damage other components.
