How would an i5 4690 and r9 270x system work at 720p

I have a 13something x 720p monitor that's 6,7 years or older. Would an i5 4690, r9 270x PC work well with this monitor (and it's resolution)? Could the PC possibly be bottlenecked in performance at this resolution? Would it reach full potential in performance at 1300x720p?

It would depend on the game, but yes a 270X should be able to do most games at 720p max settings.

For 720p even Intel i3-4150 + GTX 750 Ti would be powerful.

That question doesn't really make sense.

Are you asking if your computer has more graphics processing power than makes sense for your monitor? If so, the answer is yes.

Will this old 1360x720p monitor hinder this computers' maximum possible performance. Does that make any sense? For example, would I see low or below normal GPU usage

Yes, your GPU will be under-utilized most of the time. But it depends on your games and your monitor's refresh rate.

thank you. I think the refresh rate is 60 GHz. And hopefully there will be less under utilization later when titles become more demanding
