Hello everyone, I had a quick question about my on-board Wifi. I am about to build my first gaming PC and the mother board I got was a Asus Z87-Pro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard, I went ahead and bought a TP-Link TL-WDN4800 802.11a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter before I noticed that my mother board already had "Wifi go" on it. So my question is, how well do you think the motherboard wifi will be? And if it sucks, how would I disable it to use my TP-Link TL-WDN4800 802.11a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter? Would I just disable the drivers and install the TP-Link?

Let me know what you guys think, thank you.

Solution
It seems they should work equally good. They both have 802.11a/b/g/n and Dual Band. If the "wifi go" doesnt work good for you, just unplug the external antenna and plug the TPLink adapter.

You can always pull up a spec of the components of a motherboard via the support website of the vendor of the motherboard.
Or look up the specs listed in the manual that came with your mobo.

The same will be true of the TP-Link Pci-e Lan adapter card.
Of course it all depends on the hardware of the wifi router you currently have also, it`s a two way door.
