So I recently installed an optical fiber connection and the ISP guys came and configure my router. But as the title says the IPv4 is same as the Public IP Adress and the Default Gateway is 0.0.0.0. It seems like I'm directly connected to my ISP and there is no router at all and I think that's the case cause the Company Owner used to live in this building and had a direct connection.

The thing is, my FTTH OTN router has no wifi and I want to use my old ADSL router as a WiFi Access Point. Is that possible?

It is highly unlikely any ISP would install a router nowdays without wireless.

With fiber connections there generally is a ONT but this is a modem in most cases. Getting a actual public address is a indication that yours is a modem.

You could use your dsl router as a AP but I suspect you would still be limited to a single IP address/machine. I suspect you are going to have to buy a router that has a ethernet wan port to use the connection if you have more than 1 device you want to connect.

This is the model. And, yeah, it's probably not a router. The company told me that it's not possible to connect a wireless AP to this device and I had to buy a router from them, but I wasn't sure whether to trust them. I gave it a try connecting my router as a Wireless AP but devices that connect to the wireless cannot access internet.

I guess I'll have to buy a new router. Thanks for the help!
