hey guys how are you doing :)

i'm new to pc building , so i started a 1900$ gaming pc build in PcPartPicker
and there is an issue appearing in the build : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/dCs4kL

this is the issue :
The Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory operating voltage of 1.65V exceeds the Intel Haswell Refresh CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum.

i really don't know what is the problem and i figured that you guys can help me :)

also i need your opinions on the build , is it good for gaming or not ?

best regards , thank you :)

Solution

Hi -...

Hi - 1.5v is Intel's recommended voltage, not a dead set requirement. You can use
the sliding bar for voltage in partpicker to restrict your selection for RAM voltagewise,
or just go with what you have selected. You may end up with a 2133mhz set vs the 2400
if you stick with 1.5v, but there is no discernable diff in performance.

You can also consider:
if you are gaming and not into rendering, photo editing, etc, the i5 chip will give you the same
perf for a lot less $$, you could then get a z97 mobo vs z87, and a very good Power Supply.
