My current build is:
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/hvHBWZ

and I am looking to change the G.Skill Sniper (8gb, 2 sticks of 4gb each) to

Evga 16gb (2x8gb) DDR3 2400
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.aspx?sku=597039

Or possibly keep all four sticks for a total of 24gb of ram. Could I do this? Or would it be better to only use the EVGA so it stays at max speed? Does the motherboard even support 2400 DDR3 ram? The motherboard says "supports 2100+ OC" does that mean I have to overclock something to be able to use the 2400 ram?

Thanks in advance :D

IMO if your PC doesn't have problem right now, it is not worth to buy the MB for the 2400mhz RAM, you may just buy the 2133mhz or if you already had the 2400mhz, you may use it in 2133mhz, because from 2133 to 2400, you only get a few extra FPS for games.
If you have the problem, like pc restart during the games, that means the MB ( ASRock 970 Extreme3 2.0) may have problem for the fx8320, you can see the and you need ASRock 970 Extreme3 ( not the R2.0 version) the fx8320 is not in the cpu support list, because it has less power phase count for the fx8 series cpu with 125W http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/970%20Extreme3/?cat=CPU you may consider to buy the new MB.
For your Fx8320 PC,
1) Recommend to buy other MB like MSI 970 Gaming AM3+, GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3P, or ASUS M5A97 R2.0 AM3+, because you want the MB that has more power phase counts, 970 Extreme3 2.0 is OK, but it is not the best of 970 chipset MB for fx8320.
2) For fx8320, you are better to use with 2133mhz cl9 or cl10, even 1866mhz, but not the 2400mhz one, that will be your fx8320 can do.

Like the MB says "supports 2100+ OC", that means you have to oc, because fx8320 does support up to 1866mhz, anything is over that, you are ocing. http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Bulldozer/AMD-FX-Series%20FX-8320.html

The thing is, I already have the ASRock 970 (MB) and the build is already a bit of money as is. Is it worth switching out the MB and getting the 990 just to get the 16GB Ram?
