PLEASE HELP GTX Titan not working after installing a water cooling system

Hi everyone!

I really hope you can help me because I'm pulling my hair out! (NOT LITERALLY)

I've been building a gaming PC and everything was going smoothly until I installed
my GPU water cooling system..

I had a local electrical repair man remove the stock cooler and install the waterblock (FC Titan), so I set everything up correctly, installed the card and tried to boot the system but it kept going to windowed mode and crashing when trying to boot... finally i had to reinstall windows but since id just installed win8.1 I wasn't bothered. It started up but in windowed mode and crash
I took the card apart to see what the issue could be and found the electrical guy hadn't covered them all properly, covering some that didnt need to be covered and because of this the heat sink wasn't even making contact but i seemingly sorted and there was contact but my problem remains?

without installing the drivers i cant see if its overheating.. the pump and everything is working
great.

I did install another card without water cooling but with pump on to see if it was a power issue but it worked fine.

any ideas?

thats a nice gpu block

the watercooling kit i am not so keen on

and i would want at least a 240mm rad for the cpu and gpu

quite honestly theres no way for us to tell if your gpu block is correctly fitted

why would you buy a kit with a cpu block then?

Because i bought the titan with a cooling block attached so i only needed the pump and radiator

sorry bit confused--thought the titan had the air cooler attached which was removed then the gpu block fitted?

lol--this gets more confusing

lets set it out in order

the titan came with the block attached who took the block off and fitted the air cooler? you or the electrical guy?

then the electrical guy removed the air cooler and fitted the block?

Same guy, he fixes pc's etc (Not an idiot just hadn't had experience with graphics cards)

I got it with the block on and i had it removed and the cooler fitted to test and put back on once the cooler system was in place.

ok--and you can see the coolant going through the reservoir when you tried running it?

then i would have to guess that the block isnt correctly fitted if the card worked perfectly with the air cooler on it

I can turn my pc on but I cant install drivers and it opens in windowed mode.

I see the card in device manager with a yellow flag and code 43

code 43 would indicate the card telling windows its got a problem

on a clean windows install thats likely to be a hardware problem with the gpu not a software error

not sure

i assume you saw the card work ok on water before you got it?

but you know the card works fine when the air cooler was on it

you know the pump is working and coolant circulating

you know your psu is up to it

its a clean install of windows

that only leaves the mounting of the block

unless some one else can think of something i am missing

Why not go back to the air cooler just to be sure that it's still working properly with that? If it is then you'll know it's an issue with the way you are setting up the watercooling system, if not then you'll know that either you have damaged the Titan or something else has gone awry.
