DDR4 RAM Frequency Question

So im planing on buying the ASUS X99-A Motherboard for my new rig and im wondering what should be the best option in ram? how many mhz?

ASUS SAYS
8 x DIMM, Max. 64GB, DDR4 3200(O.C.)/3000(O.C.)/2800(O.C.)/2666(O.C.)/2400(O.C.)/2133 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory

Is it a problem if i buy ram that is has higher mhz than the supported 2133 on this motherboard (not OC)

Yes you can use most any DRAM the mobo supports (although there isn't any 1866, DDR4 starts with 2133). Most X99 CPUs will run up through 2400 with no OC and it's the MC (in the CPU) that may require the OC to run the faster sets which is no big deal. What you'll be doing with the rig and your budget are the two big factors in deciding on DRAM. If your primary will be gaming, then DRAM data rate won't matter a whole lot, if doing video, imaging, CAD etc, any memory intensive work than faster and more DRAM is the call of the day

Actualy it says is supports 2133 without overclocking and 3200 on OC

if i put something bigger that 2133 will it work or is a waste

so my question is can ddr4 3000mhz for exaple used on that mobo?
