Hey Tom'sHardware people. I dont know what else to call you. But, up upgrading my system from this:

Amd a8-6600k
8 GB DDR3 Kingston Hyper X RAM
ASRock FM2A55M-VG3+
430 W Bronze Certified Corsair PSU

To this:

Amd a8-6600k
NVIDIA Geforce Gtx 760
8 GB DDR3 Kingston Hyper X RAM
ASRock FM2A55M-VG3+
430 W Bronze Certified Corsair PSU

Basically just adding a 760. Is the PSU enough to handle all that? I also have a CPU fan, Hyper 210 something, I dont know what exactly. Or do I have to upgrade to a 500 or 600 W? It'd save me money if I didnt have to but Im fine either way. Thanks :D

The existing PSU is a 'truck' engine, you are building a 'race car' high-performance computer. I would want a higher performance PSU in any case. Is your APU overclocked? How old is your PSU?

For a system of this sort, I would normally recommend a good 450W PSU. A high-performance 430 will probably be enough. That 430W, not so much. It will run, but you are using the PSU to the max, and it's not built for that sort of load.

How can I tell if a PSU has more than one PCI connector? Will it say in the product description.

Ouch, I didn't see the rebate expires today. Even if you don't get it it's probably worth the few extra bucks. 80gold instead of 80bronze, and has that awesome 10yr warranty unless they've changed that as well. The Capstone's are great PSU, it's why I'm running one.

Basically, what sort of problems will I have if I use the 430? Like this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZR-a35sxLg#! it says it will work fine.

It won't power up. I'm guessing they used an adapter to power up the system as the evga like the corsair you have only has one PCIe power plug. The 760 needs two. I never suggest using an adapter because you are basically forcing the PSU to power something it wasn't designed to do. And guess what happens then? Just because you saw someone online/youtube do something doesn't mean it's a good idea.

1. You will need a Molex to pci-e 6 pin adaptor
2. You will be running your PSU close to full load on the 12V rail, and when you get into intense gaming there will be transient demand spikes that exceed what your PSU can provide. The capacitors in the PSU hold reserve power for this. The capacitors in that PSU are not intended for sustained use like that at the temperatures you will reach. Sooner or later, and I really mean sooner, the capacitors will fail. It may be a quiet death, or a small explosion as the capacitor disintegrates, or a fire as it burns. You roll the dice and take your chances.
