My hardware now:
I have video card gtx 770 2gb
Cpu: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz
Motherboard: Gigabye: EX58-UD3R
And memory i have 3*2: 6gb ram
I can't see my hard disk info since i dont have windows installed.
But it's Western Digital i think 7200 speed.
The reason i think about new faster haard disk but not expensive it that when installing windows now im getting the error while installtion :
I had windows 8.1 pro already but decided to make new clean installation.
I downloaded the iso from here: Creating installation media for Windows 8.1 - Windows Help
I clicked on Creating media downloaded the iso file to my hard disk and burned it to a dvd.
Then in my pc booted from the dvd in the windows setup i deleted the C: partition and created it again so i don't have any windows to restore back my mistake.
Then i continued entered my windows serial number then it collected files...On the third step it throw this error:
windows could not set the offline locale information. error code : 0x80000001
I don't have a clue what is the proeblem.
I googled some say hard disk failure some say language setup is wrong so i tried to selected uk for time...and keyboard then uk and hebrew since im in Israel.
Then i tried us . In all cases it didn't help same error.
Any ideas what is the problem ? And how to solve it ?
I'm now on my laptop i can download and burn the windows again but how do i know if the problem will not come again ?
I checked now the bios time and date and they are correct it's the local time and date in my place Israel.
I remember before i did install windows again some times and i didn't have this error.
This is the first time.
The error is coming up after in the installation it's copying files needed...then it's getting to install features and there it's thinking 4-5 seconds then throw the error.
Not sure if new hard disk will help my problem.
The reson i wanted to install new windows is that my computer was sometimes very slow and i heard the harddisk thinking lot each time not a strange noise but thinking a lot of time.
