When i try and lower my resolution in most of my games mainly witcher 2 i get black borders all around my screen. Even if i change my scaling in catalyst control center the problem still exist. Was wondering if anybody has a solution. My GPU is a sapphire 7850 2GB my native resolution is 1080p and i have the latest 15.4 beta drivers

do you know how to do that in catalyst control center? Also shadow of mordor is the only game where i can change the resolution with out resulting in black borders. Do you think it's possible to change resolution in other games without changing my main monitor resolution?

For every non-native monitor resolution you want to use in games you need to first set that resolution on desktop temporarily ,goto scaling tab & use the slider to remove the borders.
Then apply settings.
You need to do this for all frequency modes supported by your monitor ie 30/50 & 60 htz.
You can then change back to your native 1080p. desktop resolution.
When you select the lower res in game
Settings in should then switch automatically.
If you're not sure what I mean then I'll put a little tut up in 5 or 6 hours when I'm home from work

Yeah sure that would be great and i'm on windows 7 if you needed that info. Also if you mean changing your resolution in catalyst control center then changing the scaling for some reason it doesn't let me move the tab after i change my resolution.
