if my motherboard is fried, how can I tell what else is?

My problem is I forgot to screw in the standoffs before installing the motherboard, and I tried to turn it on. Is just the motherboard fried, or is something else? How do I tell if something else is?

Well you've definitely fried the motherboard regardless of what else may be damaged, so you'll need to get a new motherboard anyway.

Any damage to other components will come to light when you install them on the new board (and don't forget the standoffs this time!).
